One more training course within Erasmus+ programme held in Djakovo

From 16. – 24. January 2018. project named „Human rights education for European values equalization was held in Djakovo, Croatia. Project was organized by C:E:T platform Croatia, approved by National agency for mobility and EU programmes and financed by European Union within Erasmus+ programme – Key action 1 – Mobility of youthworkers.

On training course we had 32 participants from Croatia, Ukraine, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro. Project was implemented by Tomislav Bogdan, president of C:E:T platform Croatia and Vojislav Vujic, executive director of C:E:T platform Serbia. Training course was opened by deputy mayor of city of Djakovo, Robert Francem who wished on beginning warm welcome to youth workers from 10 countries and successful and productive 9 day in Djakovo. He also expressed a wish to have more activities like this one in future in Djakovo.

Through 9 days of training course we had a lot of activities such as team building, discussions, presentations of partner organizations and making agreements for future project, presentation of situation related with human rights in countries which participated in this project, simulation of workshops by participants who used their knowledge and skills which they gained on this training course and creating new methods and tools which will be used in non formal education in the field of human rights and migrations by partner organizations involved in this project but also by all other interested organizations and individuals who are active in youth work.

Also, on project, as a guest we had visit from Biljana Gaća, activitist in the field of protection of human rights and minorities who introduced participants with situation related with human rights in city of Vukovar and the ways on which NGOs and citizens participate in promotion of multiculturalism in Vukovar. Our second guest was Iva Zanzerovic from Center for peace studies who introduce to us activities organized by Center for peace studies and ways on which they are active in youth work in field of human rights and migrations in last 21 year.

During the intercultural evenings participants had opportunity to present their countries, tradition, culture and products characteristic for their countries and also they had opportunity to explore Djakovo and visit heritage of Djakovo.

Last day of activity participants created ideas for new projects for which responsibility will take partner organizations and participants interested in project writing and after development we will apply with those projects on one of next Erasmus+ deadlines.

After the training course, we still have activities which are part of the project. Participants in cooperation with partner organizations will organize local activities based on knowledge and skills which they gained during the training course and also we will work on sharing results with other NGOs and interested youth workers and stakeholders in order to spread a word about our project but also to provide those who are working with youth with new methods and tools which they can use in their youth work and future activities.

As a part of the project we also have webpage of the project on www.hreforeve.eu where all of you who are interested can find information about the project, about partner organizations, about venue but also we will publish daily reports from activities and materials which are results of training course.

Also, through this article we want to say thanks to deputy mayor Rober Francem and Univerzal on support which they provided to us in order to successfuly implement our project and also special thanks to all media representatives on cooperation.
